Nelson County Democratic Committee Meeting - Tuesday, February 2, 7:30PM

We have a meeting Tuesday evening (2/2/10) at the Nelson County Library in Lovingston at 7:30PM. We will be planning this year's campaign activities for the 5th District Congressional seat. Chauncey McClean from the Periello campaign will be there to discuss their plans for Nelson and for coordinating efforts with us. We are also planning our upcoming breakfast on May 1, 2010, at which Tom Periello will speak. Please come out to help find out what will be involved in this year's campaign!

Nelson County Democratic Committee Reorganization - December, 14, 2009 - 7:30PM

We held a brief meeting on Monday to do conduct our biennial reorganization; to select new committee members and elect officers. Peyton Coyner was elected treasurer to replace Cheryl Klueh, who stepped down due to term limits. We are deeply grateful for Cheryl's long and able service; she remains a committee member. Returning again are Janet Hunter (Chair), Kathy Gerber (vice-chair) and Scott Ruffner (secretary).

Nelson County BOS Results!

We are very proud that the voters have returned our two candidates to the Nelson County Board of Supervisors! Congratulations to Connie Brennan and Allen Hale. We look forward to their sensible leadership and continued work on behalf of the county. The election results for Connie's race in the face of a challenge were an encouraging endorsement of her leadership. From the State Board of Elections:

We will be having the Nelson County Democratic Committee Breakfast with Tom Periello as the guest speaker. We are still planning and do not have a venue yet, but please save the date. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Janet Hunter.

Absentee voting

If you are out of town on an election day, or will be soon and must communicate by mail, please allow at least two weeks before the election to start the mailing process as the mail exchange will require that long, at least.

Your vote is very important. Please don't miss the opportunity to VOTE DEMOCRATIC!
